Virtual Indoor Sports Day
Faridabad, Feb 2021: EUPHORIA, the Virtual Indoor Sports Day of the Pre-Primary Wing of Apeejay School, Faridabad was an event par excellence. Going virtual for sports day was a task but with the able support of parents, teachers, and the children it was a roaring success. The event was honoured by an eminent gynaecologist - Dr Kiran Chandana who encouraged the children and blessed them with a happy healthy life. The Guests of Honour were Ms Abha Agarwal, an eminent educationist, and Mr Rajendra Kumar Malhotra, and Mrs Suman Malhotra who have had a 42-year-old association with the school. The children enthralled everyone with their superb performances like Yoga, Aerobics, Zumba dancing, and their enthusiastic participation in races like Penguin Walk, Hungry Frogs, Balancing Balls, Lemon Race, Jumping Jacks. The School Principal, Dr Parul Tyagi applauded the parent-school connect and the In-charge, Ms Monica Rishi encouraged the children to participate with enthusiasm and spirit of sportsmanship.
All children need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them.
Primary Wing celebrates Annual Appreciation Day
The Primary Wing of Apeejay School, Faridabad, celebrated its Annual Appreciation Day - ‘Paratattva – The Supreme Truth’ for the session 2019-20. School Principal, Dr Parul Tyagi, in her formal address welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr Arpit Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Guest of Honour, Group Captain C.S. Bhatt, Station Commander, Air Force Station and School alumni & other special invitees.
Light is a symbol of truth, knowledge and positivity. With this profound thought, the programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by sapling presentation to the guests. Dr Tyagi, in her address, spoke about the importance of early childhood experiences in shaping the future of a child. She concluded with a poetic tribute to the unique partnership of parents and teachers. The Headmistress, Ms Ritu Kanwar encapsulated the glorious achievements of the School in its Annual Report.
The musical extravaganza revolved around the theme ‘Paratattva – The Supreme Truth’ reiterating that every moment in the life of a human being is an opportunity to express the highest values and influence others with one’s humanity. It is then that one experiences the beauty of simple basic pleasures that create lasting happiness leading to discovery of the self.
The cultural evening began with an invocation to the Almighty. A plethora of mesmerising performances showcased by the students held the audience enthralled. The play, based on the search for the ‘supreme truth’, drew an appreciative applause. The ebullient dance performers took the audience on a tour around the world.
The meritorious achievers were felicitated in the Conferral Ceremony. The Chief Guest; Dr Arpit Jain, lauded their achievements and urged the students to hone their talent & potential to carve a niche for themselves and serve the nation. He emphasised this could be achieved by collaborative efforts of the teachers and parents. The event culminated with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Vice-Principal, Mrs Anita Yadav. She thanked the dignitaries for rendering their precious time and blessing the students with their esteemed presence.
Hawan Ceremony for forthcoming Board Examinations
Faridabad, January 15, 2020: A Hawan ceremony was organised at Apeejay School, Faridabad, for the students appearing for the upcoming board examinations. The hawan ceremony was conducted with a divine fervour and spirituality to invoke blessings of the Almighty for students' brilliant performance. It is believed the hawans cleanse the mind and neutralize pre-exam nervousness, which in turn raises performance levels.
School Principal, Dr Parul Tyagi, Vice-Principal, Ms Anita Yadav and the Academic Coordinators, along with the class teachers attended the hawan with the students. Dr Tyagi wished all the children good luck for not only their forthcoming exams but also for a fulfilling life ahead.
The ceremony concluded with distribution of prasad. Mementos were also presented to each student of Class XII.
