Hawan Ceremony for forthcoming Board Examinations
Faridabad, January 15, 2020: A Hawan ceremony was organised at Apeejay School, Faridabad, for the students appearing for the upcoming board examinations. The hawan ceremony was conducted with a divine fervour and spirituality to invoke blessings of the Almighty for students' brilliant performance. It is believed the hawans cleanse the mind and neutralize pre-exam nervousness, which in turn raises performance levels.
School Principal, Dr Parul Tyagi, Vice-Principal, Ms Anita Yadav and the Academic Coordinators, along with the class teachers attended the hawan with the students. Dr Tyagi wished all the children good luck for not only their forthcoming exams but also for a fulfilling life ahead.
The ceremony concluded with distribution of prasad. Mementos were also presented to each student of Class XII.
Annual Appreciation Day 2019
Faridabad, Dec 22, 2019: Apeejay School, Faridabad, celebrated its Annual Appreciation Day themed ‘Bharat – Ek Swarnim Gaatha’, on 22nd December 2019. The honourable Chief Guest, Shri Alok Mittal, IPS, Inspector General, National Investigation Agency, New Delhi, Guest of Honour and Mr Darpan Jain, IAS, Joint secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, lent grace to the occasion with their presence.
Mr Tushar Raheja, Alumnus, Author & Mathematics Researcher and Ms Rashmi Sikka, CA, Alumna, Member of Board of Directors, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation were present as Special Guests for the occasion.
School Principal, Dr Parul Tyagi, welcomed the guests and presented the Annual Report of the School. The achievements of the School in the fields of academics, co-curricular and sports at the international and national levels were presented by the students. Prestigious medals, scholarships and trophies were awarded to the achievers of the School by Shri Alok Mittal & Mr Darpan Jain in the Prize Distribution Ceremony.
Shri Alok Mittal, in his message commended that today’s generation is dynamic & practical and elders must learn from them. In his address, he suggested that schools must encourage children to know about the rich culture & history of the nation to know how our nation has progressed as a civilization. Exhorting the young generation to lead, he advised them to uphold the values of truthfulness, honesty and courage. He stressed upon the need for the young generation to become responsible individuals and develop sensitivity towards environmental issues and road safety.
Mr Darpan Jain suggested the students to be passionate about what they do in life, to excel in what they do and to see whether the world really needs it. Children must be given the opportunity to realise their potential and be innovative & inquisitive to grow in life and contribute.
The Musical Drama presented on the occasion began with a brief narration of the essence of the theme ‘Bharat - Ek Swarnim Gaatha’ that showcased an infinite panorama of the Indian culture in different eras and dynasties. The mesmerising dance performances and the theatrical presentation were beautifully woven into the theme of the evening. The grandeur of the finale left the audience enthralled.
The Vote of Thanks to the revered assembly of guests was proposed by the Vice-Principal, Mrs Anita Yadav.
Faridabad, December 2019: An Inter-School Competition - 'Xpressions 2019 ‘- was organised in the Primary Wing of the School, Faridabad, wherein various schools competed.
The enthralling participation reinstated the fact that children are a storehouse of innate potential. The events included 'Tip-Tap-Toe', 'Quill-O-Art', 'Funk the Junk' and 'Mitti ke Rang Kala ke Sang' wherein students showcased their creativity with enthusiasm and fervor.
The ideas were mesmerising and well synchronized. The most coveted trophy 'The Overall Trophy' was lifted by DAV Sector -14.
The event was a grand success.
