USA, October 14, 2014: A group of 32 students with the Chaperons, Mrs. Mala Kohli, Mrs. M. Gulati, Mrs. Mridu Khanna and Mrs. Vandana Bhatia, participated in an 11 day educational trip to NASA, Orlando, New York and Niagara Falls from 4th October to 14th October 2014.

The young enthusiastic students participated in a two-day Certified Graduation Programme at Kennedy Space Centre NASA, where they performed a number of challenging and exploring activities like investigating the space travel in the new millennium, performing an actual space shuttle simulation and stepping into the Shuttle Launch Experience using an authentic simulator. The dream of spaceflight came alive with realistic 3D effects in IMAX theatres where the students visualised the dramatic footage shot by NASA astronauts. A visit to the Rocket Garden, Early Space Exploration Tour and Astronaut Hall of Fame were the highlights.

The icing on the cake was the fun-filled experience at the famous Disneyland, Universal Studios theme parks where children witnessed the Disney Parade and fireworks & enjoyed the thrilling rides. The visit to New York, Times Square was an experience in itself for the children where they were exposed to the premium shopping arcade of the world. The group voyage to the Statue of Liberty in the steamer enthralled the students. The breathtaking view of natural scenic beauty between New York to Niagra held everyone spell bound. Visit to the Niagra Falls, Maid of the Mist in the streamer was an experience to behold.

The trip was not only a tremendous learning experience for the students but an exhilarating one too.

Netherlands, June 2014: Apeejay Education & Apeejay Stya University organised an International Design Conference in association with the Willem De Kooning Academy (WDKA) and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands. Apeejay students engaged with the students and faculty of the William De Kooning Academy, pursuing different projects in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Product Design, etc. Students received an insight about the masterpieces of Dutch Art including the greatest works of Rembrandt, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso & Van Gogh. Students also visited the Art Museum of Rotterdam Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and WDKA photography exhibition, among many other activities.

Apeejay Education, in association with the Willem de Kooning Academy, Netherlands, is in the process of developing a new design education model at the school level.

African Championship for Aerobic Gymnastics

Aanchal Padyal, a gymnast with World Rank No. 9 (accorded to her during the Suzuki World Cup), participated in the African Championship for Aerobic Gymnastics at Walvis Bay in South Africa. She also works as Assistant Coach with the Indian Gymnastics Team.
