Blood Donation Camp
Faridabad, April 29, 2017: A Blood Donation Camp, motivated by the Rotary Club of Delhi Mid-Town and promoted by the Rotary Club of Faridabad was organised in the School premises. This was part of the initiative undertaken by the Interact Club to sensitise students towards responsible citizenship. A total of 102 units of blood were collected from the School.
Prior to the event, the School Principal, Mr. Hari Om, Vice-Principal, Mrs. Kohli and Teacher In-Charge, Interact Club, Mrs. Narang addressed the students, held active meetings with teachers, alumni and student body, encouraging them to inspire their friends and relatives to join the Drive. The Interactors created mass awareness in the School and its neighbourhood areas. All the members of the Interact Club with its President, Mrigya Ahuja and Secretary, Parth Aggarwal, with their enthusiastic participation built the momentum towards active involvement of the parent community, family & friends as well.
Astronomy Club’s Interactive Session
Faridabad, April 26, 2017: The Space Team of the School organised an interactive session for the students of the Astronomy Club at Bal Bharti Public School, on the topic ‘From Sundials to Atomic Clocks’.
The speaker for the occasion was Dr. Amitava Sengupta, distinguished research professor and mentor, Research Development & Innovation Lab (RDIL). Dr. Sengupta is the President of MSI and Editor-in Chief of MAPAN – a journal of the Metrology Society of India.
In his presentation, Dr. Sengupta enthusiastically discussed the history of clocks which proved to be very inspiring & informative for the students.
Workshop on Safe Secure Faridabad
Faridabad, May 17, 2017: A workshop on ‘Safe Secure Faridabad’ was conducted in the School by Mr Rajesh Chechi, ACP (Crime), along with other team members.
Students’ Participation at Inauguration of Surajkund Mela
Haryana, February 2015: Students participated in a rally flagged off by the Hon’ble Justice of the Supreme Court, Mr. T.S. Thakur. The theme of the rally was ‘Say No to Drugs’ wherein Mr. Thakur also interacted with the students on this issue and lauded their efforts to take up this crucial matter. The prerogative of welcoming Hon’ble Mr. Justice was also given to the students of Apeejay School, Faridabad. The initiative was also a part of the Student Legal Literacy Mission in collaboration with the Haryana State Legal Services Authority.
The School Band led the procession.
