Faridabad, October 13, 2019: Apeejay School, Faridabad organised its Annual Carnival, Meraki 2019, highlighting the theme ‘Indradhanush - Celebrating Colours of India’ on 13th October 2019. With lively and vibrant atmosphere permeating all around, the School campus wore a festive look.

Lending grace to the Inaugural Ceremony with their presence were the Chief Guest, Shri Manmohan Garg, Deputy Mayor, Faridabad, Mrs Anita Paul and Mrs Purnima Vohra, Education Officers, Apeejay Education Society, members of the Governing Body and elite industrialists of the city, along with Mr Suyash Gupta, President, ASFA (Apeejay School, Faridabad Alumni). The Hon’ble Chief Guest, Mr Garg, declared the Carnival open with the cutting of ceremonial ribbon and the releasing of balloons. In his address, Shri Garg expressed his pleasure at being a part of the celebrations organised in his alma mater. He referred to the important role a school plays in grooming students towards taking onus for higher pursuits in life. In her address, School Principal, Dr Parul Tyagi, highlighted the fact that the occasion ‘Meraki’ is symbolic of the ethos of the Apeejay Education Society – undertaking every endeavour with soul creativity and innovation. The culmination of the inauguration ceremony was with a dance presentation by the youngest members of the Apeejay Stya family, the Pre-Primary students.

Besides the fun-filled enthusiastic participation at the game stalls, a cultural extravaganza was organised on the occasion. The events, ‘Funanza’ and ‘Chrysalis’ had beautiful performances by the tiny tots with their moms and dads. A number of schools from Delhi and NCR participated in the Inter-School Dance Competition.

Flash Mob, by the students of the Primary School, had a number of visitors joining in to their musical beats and rhythm. The evening culminated with another much awaited moment – the announcement of Lucky Draw Prizes.

‘Meraki’, a day of fun & frolic, dance & music, saw a footfall of almost 6000 visitors who enjoyed the plethora of games and events while for the School community, the event offered a valuable platform to empower our students in leadership, responsibility, entrepreneurship and management skills.
