Inter-College Debate Competition

New Delhi, Oct. 8, 2016: An inter-college debate competition was held at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi on the occasion of Education Day.

Teams from 16 colleges participated in the competition. ‘Is Apple still making life changing products’ was the topic for the debate. Some participants argued for the motion and some against the motion. The audiences and judges highly appreciated the debate. At the end of the debate, ASM team of three members – Sanyukta Chawdhary, Alokita Verma and Sreshth Arora took away all the prizes. Sanyukta and Alokita won a cash prize of Rs 1000 each for securing the first position as the Best Speaker for and against the motion respectively. Sreshth won a cash prize of Rs 500 for acquiring the position of the Best Interjector. ASM team also received a cash prize of Rs 1500 for securing position of best team.

Speech Competition

New Delhi, Aug. 2016: ASM organised a Speech Competition on ‘Importance of Contribution by Freedom Fighters in India's Freedom Struggle’. Students highlighted various instances from the life and history of the freedom icons in the cause of the freedom struggle which ultimately led to the independence for the Indian nation.

Inter-College Quiz & Debate Competition

New Delhi, Aug. 31, 2016: ASM organised an Inter-College Quiz and Debate Competition wherein over 100 students from 19 colleges participated in the competitions. Deepak Dwivedi and Srishti Pathak (IITM) got the first prize in the Quiz Competition while Jatin Kumar & Aniket Gothwal (JIMS, Rohini) and S. Sayesta & S. Sriharshitha (ARSD College, DU) got the second and third prizes respectively.

In the Debate Competition, Dhruv and Sharon (Chandraprabhu Jain College of Higher Education, Narela) got the first prize; Sanchit & Umang (IITM, Janakpuri) and Sushmita & Ritika (JIMS, Vasantkunj) got the second and third prizes respectively. Tanushree from Ramjas College got Best Interjector Award in the Debate Competition. Prof Brinda Kapur, Janki Devi Memorial College and Prof. Shwati Dham, Ansal University judged the Debate Competition.

Essay Writing Competition

New Delhi, Aug. 23, 2016: An On-the-Spot Essay Writing Competition on 'Let Us Remember their Sacrifice' (Aazadi 70: Yaad Karo Kurbani) was organised on the eve of the 70th Independence Day at the Apeejay School of Management. Ten students participated in the event. Deepak Mohan bagged the first prize while Mansi Sharma and Jayanti Saxena got the second and third prizes respectively.

‘Azaadi 70 - Yaad Karo Kurbani’: Independence Festival

New Delhi, Aug. 23, 2016: Apeejay School of Management celebrated Independence Festival from August 9 to 23, titled 'Azaadi 70' on the theme of 'Yaad Karo Kurbani' to remember and pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom. The celebrations began with the singing of the National Anthem and playing patriotic songs. Many other activities and competitions were also organised as part of the celebration.
