New Delhi, Oct. 18, 2016: A National Symposium on ‘Lessons on Project Management by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’ was organised by the Apeejay Stya University at Apeejay School of Management. The Symposium was presided over by Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Hon'ble Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and Chairman, Apeejay Education Society. Dr V K Saraswat, Member, Niti Aayog was the Chief Guest at the event. Dr. S.K. Salwan, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University welcomed the guests.
Speakers for the first session on ‘Leader’s Role in Project Management’ were Dr. P.K. Mehta, Director General – Armament & Combat Engineering System (ACE), DRDO, Ministry of Defense, Dr. K.M. Rajan, Director, Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE), Pune, Dr. Tessy Thomas, Director, Advance System Laboratory (ASL). Speakers for the second session on ‘Project Preparation and Planning’ were Shri Sudhir Kumar Mishra, CEO & MD, BrahMos, Dr. Chitra Rajagopal, Director, Centre for Fire, Explosive and Environment Safety (CFEES), Ministry of Defense, Delhi, Dr. S.K. Salwan, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Dr. M. Hafizur Rahaman, Chief Controller (CC) R&D (TM), DRDO, New Delhi. The eminent speakers shared their experiences of working with the Former Indian President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and lessons on project management learnt while working with him.
