MDP on Prevention of Sexual Harassment against Women at Workplace

New Delhi, Feb. 1, 2018: Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka conducted a Management Development Programme (MDP) on ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment against Women at Workplace’ for in-house executives across functions like Sales, Operations, HR and Finance.

The four-hour workshop was a sensitisation cum awareness intervention for the participants and covered various aspects like Concept of Sexual Harassment, Employers Obligations and Redressal Mechanism under the Law. This was followed by interactive sessions on Indian cases and Role of HR in ensuring the implementation of the POSH (POLICY FOR PREVENTION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT) guidelines.

The Programme, delivered by Prof. Kamal Kishore and Prof. Ishita Adhikari, was highly appreciated by all the participants.

Faculty Development Program at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies

New Delhi, Jan. 7, 2017: ASM conducted a hands-on Faculty Development Program (FDP) for the faculty of Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, Dwarka, on 6th and 7th January 2017. The FDP was conducted on Research Methods – Application of SPSS and Academic Writing. Around 40 faculty members participated in the FDP. The sessions were taken by Prof. Alok Saklani, Director, ASM, Dr. Chhaya Wadhwa and Dr. Srirang Jha. The FDP was convened and coordinated by Dr. Shweta Jha.

Youth Summit on Sustainable Development

New Delhi, March 2016: The Eco Club of ASM organised a ‘Youth Summit on Sustainable Development’ wherein students from five colleges of GGS Indraprastha University and Delhi University participated in three events – presentation on sustainable development issues, collage and poster-making competitions. Dr. Alok Saklani, Director, ASM, inaugurated the Summit and urged the participants to contribute their bit in ensuring a cleaner and greener neighbourhood by adopting sustainable and eco-friendly habits.

Srishti Jajoria of Janki Devi Memorial College bagged the first prize in the poster-making competition while Charu Chandra of Banarasidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies got the second prize. In the collage-making competition, Ashima Gupta and Sonali Gupta of Banarasidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies got the first and second prize respectively. Rohit Dubey and Tirna of IITM got the first prize in the ‘Presentation on Sustainable Development Issues’ competition, while Rishabh Mittal and Harsh Gogia from the same institute got the second prize. Aishwarya and Sneha of Banarasidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies got the third prize in the ‘Presentation on Sustainable Development Issues’ competition. Prof. Manupriya Bali and Prof. Priya Gupta served as the jury at the summit.

Prof. Kamal Kishore, Dean, ASM gave away cash prizes and certificates to the winners. Dr. Shweta Jha facilitated the summit which was anchored by Saumyadeep Biswas. Ashta, Sanam Sohail, Ajay Pandey and Shikhar Srivastava coordinated various events at the summit as volunteers.
