MDP on Happiness Strategy: आनंद

Delhi, Sep 28, 2021: A two-day MDP on ‘Happiness Strategy: आनंद’ was conducted by ASM on 27th and 28th September 2021 for Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO). The training program was conducted on an online platform Webex. It was inaugurated by the ASM Director, Dr Etinder Pal Singh, and the senior management of POSOCO. On day one, Dr. Ishita Adhikari introduced the content of the program and set the context and dimension of happiness. This was followed by a session on ‘Mindfulness’ by Dr. Preeti Suryawanshi where she discussed the ‘Art and Science of being Mindful’ and practical techniques of being mindful in everyday life. Post lunch session was delivered by Dr. Shweta Jha where she deliberated on understanding self and others to attain ‘Happiness at Workplace’. She also covered the importance of intra-personal & inter-personal issues. Her talk included many situation-based exercises requiring participants to step in the shoes of the protagonist.

Day two started with a session on ‘7 Sins that an Individual commits which lead to Unhappiness’. Dr. Preeti Suryawanshi elaborated on how good habits can be cultivated to overcome these Sins. The session provided practical exercises to develop ‘7 Habits of a Highly Happy Person’. This was followed by a session on ‘Transforming Fear and Negativity into Positivity through Gratitude’ by Dr. Chhaya Wadhwa. She laid down the importance of ‘Gratitude’ in strengthening inter-personal relations and building a positive culture at the workplace. Post lunch session was delivered by Dr. Shweta Jha on ‘Dimensions of Wellness and attaining Happiness through Wellness’. Dr. Jha, through various exercises, provided an opportunity to the participants to understand the role of individuals and organisations in creating wellbeing.

The pedagogy used in the MDP included stories, cases, songs, and videos to make the sessions interactive and interesting. The participants enjoyed the interactive sessions during the MDP.

MDP on Machine Learning using Python

Delhi, Sep 25, 2021: ASM conducted a two-day MDP on Machine Learning using Python on 24-25 September 2021. The sessions were taken by Dr Monika Arora and she covered topics like the introduction to Machine Learning, Data Science, and AI followed by a hands-on session on Python using Linear & Logistics Regression, Regression & Classification Tree, and K-means. She received excellent feedback from participants.

MDP on Digital Resources: A Sustainable Tool for SMEs/Entrepreneurs and Researchers

New Delhi, June 25, 2021: On 25th June 2021, ASM organised an online MDP on the topic 'Digital Resources: A sustainable tool for SMEs/Entrepreneurs and Researchers'. Mr. Anuj Kumar (Assistant Professor, ASM Dwarka) was the main speaker of the program, and the participants included corporates working in Ernst and Young, HCL, Export Houses, and SMEs segment, and many academicians from reputed institutes like Bharati Vidyapeeth, JIMS, MIT World Peace University, Amity University, Mulund College of Commerce, and All India Management Association, etc. The key discussions involved the problems and challenges for the SMEs segment, how technology can provide a solution to SMEs, the collaboration between business professionals and academicians, online marketing tools, and research opportunities.

Workshop on Marketing Analytics

New Delhi, June 24, 2021: An Online Workshop on ‘Marketing Analytics’ was conducted on 24th June 2021. The resource person was Ms. Ruchi Malik Gorai. The participants of the Workshop included students as well as faculty. The topics such as Introduction to Marketing Analytics, Sales Modelling using Excel, Warranty Analytics, and Conjoint Analysis were covered in the Workshop. It was a highly engaging and interactive session.

Workshop on Stress Management and Happiness through Mindfulness

New Delhi, June 19, 2021: ASM conducted a one-day Workshop on 'Stress Management and Happiness through Mindfulness' on 19th June 2021. Dr. Chhaya Wadhwa and Dr. Preeti Suryawanshi, faculty at ASM, were the resource persons for the Workshop. It was attended by students, corporates, and academicians from institutions like Banaras Hindu University, Apeejay School of Management, and Guru Nanak Khalsa College-KU.

The Workshop started with a discussion on common causes for stressors in everyday life. The participants were asked to take some stress and mindfulness tests to evaluate their stress levels and mindfulness score. Dr. Chhaya talked about the meaning of these scores and further dwelled on the means to become mindful in everyday life. Dr. Preeti spoke about the reasons for unhappiness and how to achieve happiness in daily life. She further gave tips to practice mindfulness using audio-visual presentations.
