Orientation Program 2021

Delhi, July 29, 2021: ASM welcomed its 29th batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (2021-23) on 29th July 2021 and conducted a 10-day Orientation Program for them. The program was inaugurated by Mr O.P. Khanduja, Executive Director, ASM, who welcomed the new batch of students and emphasised the importance of time management, a positive attitude, and leadership, for the students. The Chief Guest of the program - Mr. Seshadri Rajaram, Managing Director - India, Erhardt Leimer, shared valuable lessons from his professional journey. He emphasised that ‘Empathy’ is an important attribute that every individual must possess, and motivated the students to become better human beings and thus better managers. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Shashank Jagirdar, Vice-President and Global Head, DHL, talked about various challenges that are faced by supply chain industries in the pandemic crisis. He elaborated on the importance of the supply chain in managing things all across the globe. He insisted that students must understand the ground realities of the industry and start learning from the base to understand the system more closely. The students from the new batch appreciated the session and got an opportunity to interact with the guest and get their queries answered regarding their careers. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Etinder Pal, Director, ASM, by congratulating the students for their new beginning.

During the Orientation Program, the students went through bridge courses on various subjects like Economics, Quantitative Techniques, Principles of Management and Financial Accounting, etc. The objective of the bridge courses was to bring students from different disciplines to the same level and make them acquainted with basic concepts of Management. Students were also apprised of different rules, procedures, and systems of the Institute relating to program structure, attendance, discipline, communication, pedagogy, assessment systems, etc. and a series of Guest lectures were organised for the students during the Orientation Program, and the program concluded with a Talent Show by the students on the final day of the Orientation Program.

New Delhi, July 21, 2020: Apeejay School of Management (ASM) welcomed its 28th batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (2020-22), on 21st July 2020 and conducted a 10 days Orientation Program for them. At the inaugural function, Mr O.P. Khanduja, Executive Director, ASM, welcomed the new batch of students. In his address, he stressed on the value of skills, trust, hard work and initiative. The Chief Guest of the program - Shri Vinay Prabhakar Sahasrabuddhe, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), shared his thoughts with the students. He interacted with the students with full zeal & enthusiasm and also shared valuable lessons from his life journey. Another guest, Shri R.K. Somany, Chairman & Managing Director, HSIL, emphasised that ‘Empathy’ is an important attribute that every individual must possess.The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr Amit Sareen, Officiating Director, ASM.

Many more dignitaries from the corporate world like Mr Joydeep Sarkar and Mr GP Rao, Founder of GPR HR Consulting, etc. spoke on various upcoming challenges in the dynamics of the rapidly changing business world. Ms Vidisha Baliyan,TEDx speaker and an Indian female deaf model, shared the challenges faced by her to reach her dreams. She also advised the students to follow a disciplined lifestyle for conquering their goals in the future. Apart from the corporate interactions, Dr Radhika Adholeya discussed the practical tips for handling daily life challenges. The students also received lot of encouragement from experiences shared by the PGDM 2018-20 batch students.
