Faridabad, July 4, 2016: Given the multifarious roles that teachers have to play in the prevalent times, a Professional Development Workshop themed ‘Teachers as Leaders of the Class’ was organised for the teachers in the School campus. The resource person for the Workshop, Mrs. Gupta, invoked the teachers to be unbiased and visionary.
The teachers were encouraged to face life with confidence and commitment focussing on developing the right attitude. The importance of providing an appropriate classroom ambience, important skills like value centred leadership, creativity and timely upgradation of knowledge were also stressed upon.
The Workshop encompassed few invigorating activities including teachers’ speed, observational skills and intelligence which were also put to test. Activities like: Kinds of reading, K-Dimension (observe + analyse + record) and kinds of intelligence provided teachers with new perspectives towards their profession.
The Workshop also highlighted individual differences, uniqueness of every child and the sanctity of the teaching profession. The Workshop upheld the dignity of the teaching profession and a vision for future progress with the belief in the almighty.
