Faridabad, Aug 15, 2021 : The school celebrated the 75th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor to bring in the feeling of brotherhood and unity.

Flag hoisting was done in the school and later it continued virtually. The programme started with chanting the Gayathri mantra and blessings of the almighty. It was followed by a national pledge and thought for the day. Students from different classes performed patriotic dances and songs were also presented with great zeal.

The principal of the school addressed the students and the special assembly ended with the National Anthem being sung.

Faridabad, 2nd-7th August, 2021:Equipping students with the skills to find, analyse and evaluate information can help them make their own connections. Associating knowledge gained with existing background information helps to build greater meaning and increase engagement. To make learning a joyous experience, Social Studies week was observed from 2nd August to 7th August. Students participated in various activities and also learnt about many new concepts.

Class IV

Tear and Paste - Map Activity Theme: Physical Features of India Students labelled the physical features of India and learnt about the states in each physical feature.

Class V

Exploring Wildlife Theme: Democratic Republic of Congo Students explored and wrote about the wildlife of the Democratic Republic of Congo. They also presented a talk show on the same.

Class VI

Clay Model Theme: Longitudes and Latitudes Students made a clay model of latitudes and longitudes using different materials like clay, thread, wool. etc and through this, they learnt about the longitudes and latitudes that pass from India.

Class VII

Clay Model Theme: Volcano Students made a beautiful volcano model. Students learnt about the working of volcanos and their types.

Class VIII

Flip-Flap Book Theme: Types of Natural Vegetation Students created beautiful flip-flap books and shared details about different types of natural vegetation through them.

Class IX

Creating Social Advertisement Theme: Education for All Students made posters for promoting education for all. They wrote their own slogans for the poster.

Class X

Slogan Writing Theme: Conservation of Resources - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Students wrote their original slogans and used their calligraphy skills to display them beautifully.

Class XI

Scrapbook Theme: Challenges of nation-building A report is written for a clear purpose and to a particular audience. Specific information and evidence are presented, analysed, and applied to a particular problem or issue. The information is presented in a clearly structured format making use of sections and headings so that the information is easy to locate and follow. Student of Xl was asked to prepare a report on Human Rights. Including all facts and figures as well as a number of incidents of violation of Human Rights in the world.

Class XII

Newspaper Report Theme: Human Rights Scrapbooking, a crafting and documenting activity, involves taking books with blank pages and adding photos, memorabilia, journaling, and embellishments. Students of Class Xll were asked to prepare a scrapbook on Chapter 9: Challenges of Nation-Building.

Faridabad, July 28, 2021 : The students of Grade-III learnt about International Nature Conservation Day. The purpose was to create awareness of nature-conservation as resources are getting more and more scarce.

Students made presentations on the various topics, recited poems and wrote their suggestions about how to keep our surroundings clean. The students of Grade-I learnt about the importance of composting, and how it can easily be done at home using some soil and green kitchen waste. They did a hands-on activity based on the same.

Faridabad, July 14, 2021 : The world is growing into a globalised village and to celebrate the spirit of unity, Apeejay Svran Global School celebrated the International French Day on 14th July 2021. Students informed everyone about why this day is celebrated as International French Day. They shared some interesting facts about France followed by a story about French soldier Joan D’ Árc. It was a quite an informative and enriching experience for all.
