Faridabad, April 2014: The students of Apeejay Svran Global School enthralled their parents with exemplary performances on the Annual Day themed ‘Winds of Change’. The children depicted the life of Swami Vivekanand, a towering figure of Indian history who changed the perception of India in the western world. The programme started with veneration to Goddess Saraswati and continued with entreating performances by the children who showed the cultures and traditions in our own country. A rhythmic classical dance, a traditional Bengali dance, a Rajasthani dance steeped in culture and a foot-tapping western dance had the audience mesmerised. Entreating performances by the primary school children showcased their latent talent.
The Annual Report of the school was also presented by the School principal, Ms. Purnima Vohra. The guests, Mr. B.B. Agrawal, IRS, in his address, inspired the children to be good citizens and laid stress on time management and find poetry in mathematics. Mrs. Meenu Chawla, wife of Mr. A.S. Chawla, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Faridabad emphasised on the inculcation of values in children along with academics. Dr. Rajesh Watts, Senior Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon, spoke on the importance and impact of healthy food on a healthy mind.
The programme culminated with the parents taking the national pledge with the students of the school.
