Faridabad, March 30, 2018: The Annual Day ‘विरासत’ - a legacy to behold was held at Apeejay Svran Global School on 30th March 2018. The theme was based on the life and works of Dr Stya Paul Ji.

The day was graced by Dr Janice Darbari and Vidushi Mamta Maharaj. The programme began with a sitar recital and lighting of the traditional lamp. The Annual Report was presented by the School Principal. The invocation consisted of a Krishna Vandana, composed by Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji. This was followed by a dance in praise of the Almighty.

Students presented short snippets about the family background, the scholarly pursuits and the involvement of Dr Stya Paul Ji (Founder Chairman of the Apeejay Education Society) in the Freedom Struggle. His dedication as an educationist, setting up of an Industrial House and the Apeejay Education Society was also highlighted on stage through short lines delivered eloquently by the students. They also spoke about him as a patriarch and his contribution to women’s education. His legacy of excellence is being carried forward by his daughter and only child, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia. The programme was also interspersed with Dr Stya Paul Ji’s favourite inspirational quotes.

Other programmes for the day included Western dances by Nursery and Kindergarten, Western Song, Fusion dances, Indian Classical dances and Indian Folk dances including Bhangra, Haryanvi dance, Maharashtrian Koli dance and Rajasthani Ghoomer dance

The students also received prizes for their scholastic and co-scholastic achievements. The programme concluded with an inspirational prayer song, and the vote of thanks was delivered by the School Head Girl.
