Apeejay Svran Global School celebrated India Week with great exuberance and fervor to commemorate India’s Independence. The entire week was dedicated to the memories of freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for free India. Short skits, teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, India-heritage quiz, patriotic poems, quiz on patriotic slogans, and importance of national symbols were all a part of assemblies conducted each day of the week. The teachers interacted with the students on how freedom was earned by virtue of sacrifices and suffering by thousands of known and unknown fellow countrymen. It was the vision and wisdom of our great Indian leaders and their perseverance and love for the Nation that led to our being independent from the British rule. The students of the school took a pledge to work for peace, tolerance, with dedication, sincerity and love for the country and the countrymen.

The school celebrated Janmashtami on August 9, 2012 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students mesmerised the audience by singing bhajans revering Lord Krishna. Everyone was enthralled by the divine leela of Lord Krishna presented by the tiny tots of nursery and kindergarten. The middle school students presented the essence of the Bhagwad Gita by enacting the role of Arjuna and Krishna.
