“BEIJING 2008” – AN INTERNATIONAL OPEN OLYMPIC COMPETITION

Our students participated in International Open Olympic Competition Plastic for Children “Beijing 2008” organized by the Fundacja Mlodej Polonii.

The painting made by Shashank Kaushik of Class VIII – D has been selected for the Third Prize.

CEO-2008 (CHALLENGE – ENRICH – OUTPERFORM)

On 24 th October 2008, our students participated in an inter-school cultural extravaganza organized by Keshav Mahavidyalaya.

Our students won Second Prize in Nukkad Natak Competition where the theme was Socio-business problems and they have also won Third Prize in Yell n Sell Ad Mart Competition where the theme was Oganic Food.

MTNL PERFECT HEALTH MELA 2008

Our students participated in the MTNL Perfect Health Mela 2008 – Harmony, an Inter School Festival conducted on 21 st October 2008. Our students won the following prizes:

ON THE SPOT ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

Ministry of Environment & Forests conducted ‘On the Spot Essay Writing Competition’ on 2 nd October, 2008, at National Zoological Park. Ashmita Kumar of Class V – B participated in the same and secured the First Position. The topic of the competition was “Forest without Tigers”. She has been awarded with a certificate, trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 1,000/-.


SHRI BREM DUTT MEMORIAL INTER-SCHOOL ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION

Our students participated in “Shri Brem Dutt Memorial Inter-School English Debate Competition” organized by Cambridge Foundation School, on 25th September, 2008.

The topic of the debate was: “Nuclear Deal – a Panacea for India’s Future Energy Needs.”

Rishabh Gupta of Class XII was awarded the “Best Speaker” prize.


REGIONAL LEVEL CBSE SCIENCE EXHIBITION

Students of Apeejay School, Pitampura participated in the regional level CBSE Science Exhibition 2008 organised by S. D. Public School , Pitampura on 25th and 26th August 2008. The project titled “Inorganic Blues’ prepared by Rishabh Gupta and Siddhanth Sethi of class XII B under the guidance of Mrs. Bharti Rattan was adjudged as one of the best project on the theme ‘Food and Agriculture’.    


CSIR PROGRAMME ON YOUTH FOR LEADERSHIP IN SCIENCE

Rahul Malhotra and Aayush Jindal of Apeejay School, Pitamupra, have been selected by Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology to attend a two day special programme “ CSIR PROGRAMME ON YOUTH FOR LEADERSHIP IN SCIENCE “.  


WESTERN MUSIC COMPETITION

Indraprastha International School, Dwarka, organized a Western Music Competition on 1st August, 2008. Around 32 prominent schools of Delhi participated in the competition. Our students won the First prize in the competition.  


16TH SCIENCE OPEN MERIT TEST

 In the “16th Science Open Merit Test” held on 2nd December, 2007, five of our schools students got into Merit List. Their names are as follows:

e-PANAROMA 2008

Our students participated in the Inter-School competition e-PANAROMA 2008 organised by Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh on 24-25 th July 2008.

Pranav Punjabi (Class – VIII A) and Siddharth Rao (Class – VIII B) won the First Position in the event “e-book”.


CYBERFEST 2008

Our students participated in the Inter-School competition CYBERFEST 2008 organised by Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Ashok Vihar on 18th July 2008.

Urvi Midha and Aastha Bajaj of Class – VD won the First Position in the event “Smart Kid”.


INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD

The British Council International School Award is an accreditation Scheme for international curriculum work in schools. Apeejay School, Pitampura also participated in this scheme during the session 2007-08 and has successfully won the International School Award 2008 – 2011

The ISA provided the platform in developing our students into global citizens who could appreciate the diversity of cultures and sensitive to others opinion. It embodies broadened educational opportunity in classrooms and understanding of other cultures, improves communication and mutual acceptances. Students’ visit to Singapore, UK, Japan gave them a real exposure of different international communities. They have learnt to be more tolerant to accept, appreciate and respect the diverse cultures prevalent in the world and have learnt the value of ‘Celebrating Differences’.


STUDENTS’ EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

After Divyansh Narang who visited Japan under Students’ Exchange Programme 2007 – 2008, Sagar Rana of Class XII – A has been selected by CBSE to participate in “The Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths”, a students exchange programme. The programme is aimed at promoting mutual understanding among the peoples of East Asia Region. Under this project Sagar would be visiting Japan in the month of June / July, 2008.  


INTER-SCHOOL MATHEMATICS TALENT EXAMINATION

Our students participated in the Inter-School Mathematics Talent Examination organized by Ramanujan Society of Born Mathematicians for Class – X, held in February, 2008.

Aayush Jindal of Class X secured the Second Position and he was given a prize in the prize distribution function held on 17 th April, 2008 at Modern School, Vasant Vihar
