| SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS Silver Streaks- 'An Inter- School Festival' to mark the Silver Jubilee of Apeejay School, Noida was celebrated on November 30 & December 1, 2006.  Apeejay
School, Noida celebrated 25 glorious years of its inception. The Silver Jubilee Celebrations were inaugurated with a grand
exhibition on Sunday, April 16, 2006 titled 'Indradhanush'- a Kaleidoscope
of displays in all subjects from Maths to Yoga. The programme began
with a 'Havan Ceremony' attended by Dr. Stya Paul, Chairman, Apeejay
Eduation Society (AES), Mrs. Sushma Berlia- Vice President, AES and
Mr. Vijay Berlia, Secretary, AES. In his message on the occasion,
the Principal reiterated the
philosophy of the school that aims at the holistic development of
the young. The occasion was also attended by many luminaries and other
distinguished guests and parents.Dr. Stya Paul declared the year long Silver Jubilee Celebrations open by unfurling a banner chronicling some stellar acheivements of the students. Mrs. Sushma Berlia released bunches of vibrant coloured balloons to mark the occasion. The displays from the senior school were enhanced by live demonstrations ranging from 'Navras' by the Hindi department, Shakespeare and chaucer by the English Department to the Azad Hind Fauz by the Social Studies department. The parents were enamoured of the displays in Yoga, Band and the well synchronised orchestra. The mathematics department showed vedic maths, the Science Department had interesting experiments while the computer department had a live computer aided learning package which held the visitors spellbound. The primary department presented the Goan dance, a jubilee song and aerobics while the best out of waste, alphabet antics from pre-primary won the hearts of parents. More than five thousand parents and other visitors came and lauded the outstanding efforts put in by the children. The grand display was truly an 'Indradhanush', the vibrant hues of Apeejay School, Noida and the craetive talent of more than 2700 students. FOUNDER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS- A TRIBUTE TO A VISIONARY  The 85th birthday of Dr. Stya Paul, the  Chairman of Apeejay Education Society was celebrate with great zeal and enthusiasm as Founder’s Day on 4th October, 2004 with over 350 students of the Middle and Senior school being commended for excellence in academia and extra curricular activities.
The programme began with the invocation song and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest renowned cartoonist Padmashree Shri Sudhir Tailang and the Principal. The guest of honour was Shri G.C.Vats, Educational Advisor, Apeejay Education Society. The highlight of the programme was a skit presenting the inspiring life and vision of Chairman Sir, put up by the students of the school. This was followed by a litany of prayers and the lighting of lamps praying for the long life and well being of the Chairman. The Vice Principal read out the special message from Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Vice President, Apeejay Education Society conveying her blessings and best wishes to the entire Apeejay School, Noida fraternity. A VISIT BY PROF.AMOS NUR AND FRANCINA LOZADA FROM STANFORD UNIVERSITY Professor Amos Nur, BobBurke Family director, Stanford’s Overseas Program, and Director, Stanford rock Physics Lab, accompanied by his wife Francina Lozada, professor of clinical oral  Medicine along with Mr.Vijay Berlia and Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Vice President, Apeejay Education Society visited Apeejay School, NOIDA on November 3, 2004. The distinguished guests were welcomed by the Principal and , Vice Principal, along with the school prefectorial board. The guests went around the Primary, Middle and senior school witnessing the various activities and projects in all subjects ranging from languages, social science, Mathematics to computers. The rich cultural tradition of our country was presented through songs and dances while there was also an exhibition of art, craft, sculpture and other socially useful productive work. Thereafter Prof. Amos Nur, addressed the students and staff commending the exemplary work which show cased the talent and aptitude of the students. A VISIT BY PROFESSOR JOHN HENNESEY- PRESIDENT , STANFORD UNIVERSITY  Prof. John Hennessey, President, Stanford University, accompanied by Prof. Steven Suda and Prof. Naushad Forbes visited Apeejay School, Noida on 3rd December 2004. He was escorted by the Vice President of Apeejay Education Society, Mrs. Sushma Berlia,. The children welcomed the guests with a guard of honor. After the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Mr. Hennessey planted a tree sapling within the school premises. The children presented cultural items showcasing the creativity and the talent of the students. ANNUAL SPORTS DAY  The Annual Sports Day of Apeejay School, NOIDA was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Sunday, January 23, 2005 where nearly 2700 students look part in different events. The Sports Day was flagged off by the Principal, who welcomed the guests and gave a comprehensive account of the school’s achievements in this academic session. The Chief Guest , Mr. Deo Dutta, Chairman and CEO, NOIDA, hoisted the school flag and declared the meet open. Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Vice-President Apeejay Education Society, addressed the gathering and blessed the children. Mr. Vijay Berlia, Secretary, Apeejay Education Society gave out the prizes to outstanding sports persons of the school. |
