SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS (2008-2009)
Annual Sports Day (2008-09)
A grand Annual Sports Day was celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2008 with great fervor and splendor that is associated with all events held at Apeejay School, NOIDA.
Awareness Walk (2008-09)
The school organized an “Awareness Walk” and Cultural Extravaganza on 7th December, 2008 as a part of School's Silver Jubilee Celebrations. Contingents of 1000 students were flagged off by Shri S.K.Sharma, I.A.S, D.M, Gautam Budh Nagar, who was extended a warm welcome by the Principal, Mr. N.N.Nayyar. The students with banners displaying social issues of concern drew attention of the public. They were congratulated by Dr. Stya Paul, President, Apeejay Education Society. The occasion was graced by Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Vice President, Apeejay Education Society, Mr. V.S.Garg(Educational Advisor), Principals of Apeejay Schools, and Government officials. Vice Principal, Mr. S.C.Tiwari proposed the Vote of Thanks.
Silver Jubilee Culmination and Visit of Former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (2008-2009)
A magnificent function was held at Apeejay School, NOIDA on 29th January 2009 to
successfully culminate the silver jubilee celebrations of the school. Former President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam graced the function as the Chief Guest. Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President, Apeejay Stya Group and Vice President, Apeejay Education Society presided over the function. Ms Neha Berlia (Member, Apeejay Education Society), Educational Advisors of Apeejay Education Society; Mr. G.C. Vats and Mr. V.S.Garg, Principals and Directors of Apeejay Schools also attended the function. After being accorded a formal welcome, the former President inaugurated the exhibition that comprised displays by Pre-Primary students and Art & Sculpture department. Working models of Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Robotics were also exhibited by the Middle and Senior Deptt. A street play Bhagirathi and a performance by the School orchestra left the audience spellbound. An adaptation of Sound of Music presented by the students won everyone's heart.
On this occasion all the staff members who have rendered more than 20 years of invaluable service to the school were felicitated.
To commemorate the completion of 25 glorious years of the institution, a special postal cover was released by Dr. Kalam. Mr. Rajesh, Director Postal Services Ghaziabad and Noida, Mrs Devika Kumar, Post Master General Agra was also present on the occasion.
