- Six students brought laurels to the school by clearing the most prestigious exam IIT-JEE 2009.

- Srishti Saha, Rashi Agarwal and Punya Jha cleared the AIPMT 2009
- Nikhil Jones, the Senior Head Boy from XII A participated in
the Japan – East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths
Programme (JENESYS). This was sponsored by CBSE and Japan.
- Samsung in association with Times NIE rolled out the biggest school quiz held in the nation - the ‘Samsung Olympic Games’ as a precursor to the Beijing Olympic Games 2008. Around 1000 schools took part in this prestigious Quiz from all over the nation.
About 170 schools participated in the West Zone regional round held on 29th July, 2008 at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai .
The three member team comprising Ronak Nagori, B Venkatraman and Pranav Balachander all from Class XI-A were the Regional Level Winners They won LCD Monitors for themselves, and a 32-inch Plasma TV for the school.
The next level of the contest was held on 5th August, 2008 in the Siri Fort Auditorium, Delhi, where the four finalist teams from Mumbai, Bangaluru, Kolkata and Delhi sweated it out for the coveted first position.
Yet again, the students of Apeejay School, Nerul proved their mettle and brought glory to their city and school by bagging the first position. They won Video Recorders for themselves, and a 40-inch Plasma T.V. for the school. They also received certificates and Gold medals. - The Indian Association of Teachers in Biological Science had organized National Standard Examination in Biology and Indian National Biology Olympiad. Richa Gupta of Apeejay School, Nerul was awarded a Certificate of Merit and a Gold Medal for the same, for being in the top 42 candidates at the NSEB-INBO Examination 2008 out of 10,230 candidates who had enrolled.
- A* Star Scholarship examination was held in the school on October 2008 in the presence of the authorities from Anglo-Chinese School, Singapore (Independent) & Chinese Girls School, Singapore. Two of our students have made themselves eligible for the scholarship. They are Sanjeev Kannan and Abhishek Shendel of IX.
- CBSE West Zone Swimming competition 2008 was held from 18th of September to 21st September 2008 at Shree Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal, Amravati. Many schools from the West Zone of India participated in this event. Two of our students came back with excellent results. The events were:

- CBSE National Swimming Championship 2008 was held from 1st to 4th November 2008 at Vadodara. Rhea Sanjeev Naik got bronze medal in 200m Freestyle
- C.B.S.E WEST ZONE (Athletics) was held in Surat. Antara Ambekar received a gold medal in shot put event. She will participate in the Nationals to be held in December in Gujarat.
- In C.B.S.E WEST ZONE (Team Event) - Apeejay School, Nerul received silver medal in football
- In C.B.S.E WEST ZONE (Team Event) - Apeejay School, Nerul received bronze medal in volley ball.
Shrutika Jawade, a student of class VI, bagged gold medal and scholarship of Rs. 500 / month at the Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidyanik Science Talent Search Competition organized by Mumbai Science Teacher’s Association. Shrutika is the only student from the city to have bagged this award.
Padmasai Varanasi of IX B has been identified as the Student of the Year by NIE (The times of India group). She received a cash award of Rs.1001/- and a trophy. She has also been felicitated as one of the top six star correspondents in an august gathering on 18th December-2008.
