Teaching Learning Strategy
As it is rightly said that "Child is the father of man"
so child-centered education should be the top priority in the school
curriculum. For this, it is essential to develop a warm, healthy and
close knit relationship between the teacher and taught in order to
draw out the latent potentials in the child. The teaching learning
strategies followed in our curriculum are:
• To promote communicative skills through group or pair work.
• To analyse and differentiate facts
• Encourage learning by doing.
• To develop desirable values and attitudes related to the topics.
• Emphasis on group discussion.
• Use of new words to enrich their vocabulary and stress on correct
pronunciation.
• Questionnaire, practical and experiment
• Demonstrations, practical and experiments
• To develop the power of reasoning
• Focus Skill
• To break the monotony of classroom teaching, the teachers try
to focus their attention towards skills of understanding, imparting
knowledge, skill of drawing, reading to comprehend, writing etc. This
helps to co-relate the lesson with day-to-day life, work sheets are
used to reinforce learning.
Value Based Education
Value based education is the foundation of character and moral development
of the child. The consciousness of values must permeate the whole
curriculum and programme of activities in the school. Value based
education should be an integral part of a school curriculum instilling
everlasting values in children. This will make the students confident,
competitive, well groomed, emotionally stable, humanitarian, sympathetic,
progressive, tolerant as well as disciplined, character building and
moral development. Value based programmes are quizzing on lives of
great men, performing of parables based on value, celebration of various
festivals, Straet Plays, Value Based Discussions in the class, visits
to orphanages, special schools(Meant for Deaf & Dumb), Institutions
for differently abled children.
