Convocation
Eleventh annual Convocation of Apeejay School of Management was organized on 12th July, 2008. Honorable Chief Minister of Haryana Mr. B.S. Hooda was the chief guest and delivered the convocation address. Dr. Stya Paul, Present Apeejay Education Society graced the occasion by blessing the students and Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Vice-President, Apeejay Education Society welcomed and introduced the dignitaries.


Lord Swraj Paul visits Apeejay Campus

Lord Swraj Paul, distinguished member of British Parliament and Patron of Apeejay School of Management, visited Apeejay Campus at Dwarka, New Delhi and interacted with students and faculty on October 1, 2007. Ms Sushma Berlia, Vice President, Apeejay Education Society presided over the function.
Lord Swraj Paul urged the students to take up the cause of illiteracy, poverty and social exclusion in India. He also emphasized that the youth must take advantage of the opportunities thrown open by globalization and new found economic status of India, which is growing at the rate of 9% per annum.
Founder’s Day
Apeejay School of Management celebrated Founder’s Day on October 4, 2007. A day‑long Blood donation camp was organized in association with Lions Club to mark the occasion. The Institute also conferred Dr Stya Paul Human Values Award to two selected students Ms Prachi Chhabra and Mr Mandeep Singh. They got Rs. 5000 each along with a citation. A paper presentation competition on ‘Practices of Ethics and Values in a Manager’s Life’ was held as part of the programme. Sheetal and Pallavi got 1st prize in a paper presentation contest. The students also presented puppet dance and songs on the occasion.
Synergy’ 08:
The annual management festival Synergy’ 08 was held on 21-22 February’2008. All activities and events like quizzes, debates, management games, cultural events and Bulls and Bears were conducted. Synergy enables the students to learn time management, planning and teamwork. It stimulates confidence and leadership skills among the students.
Alumni Meet
The association of the Institute alumni known as ASMAA - "Apeejay School of Management Alumni Association", is a registered body established with a view to work as an agency of mutual support between the alumni and the institute. The mission of the alumni association is to provide direction, service, and leadership to the current students through interaction and guidance in the process of recruitment, resources development, alumni programming, and career development. It meets atleast once a year.

Dr Stya Paul Annual Lecture
Dr Kiran Karnik, President, National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) delivered the 2nd Dr Stya Paul Annual Lecture on ‘Education for IT and IT for Education’ [held under the aegis of Apeejay Stya Educational Research Foundation and Apeejay Education Society (AES)] at PHD Chamber Auditorium on 12 November 2007. Mr Karnik said that information technology should be used as a means to make learning more interactive, interesting and amusing rather than focusing on mere computer literacy.
Mrs Sushma Berlia, President, Apeejay Stya Group and Vice President, AES, Mr Nishant Berlia, Board Member, Apeejay Stya group and. Mr Vijay Berlia, Chairman, Svran group also graced the occasion.

Special Lecture under Thought Leader Series
Apeejay School of Management organized a seminar by Mr Alok Sharma, Managing Director, Apple India on 19 September 2007 under the Thought Leader Series to mark the 40th Year of Apeejay Education Society. Mr Sharma spoke about his own experiences of managing personal, inter-personal and organizational issues in order to excel in the corporate world and stay at the top.

Marathon
Apeejay School of Management organized a marathon on February 17, 2008 (Sunday) to create awareness among the residents of Dwarka on two issues affecting them; scarcity of water and safety on roads. The marathon was flagged off by former director of Central Bureau of Investigation, Mr. Joginder Singh. More than 150 people including residents of Dwarka, students and faculty of Apeejay participated in the marathon
