ACADEMIC
The School organizes various Conferences, Faculty Development Programs (FDP), Management Development Program (MDP), Orientations, Seminars, Workshops, Refresher seminars etc. on topical subjects by inviting eminent academicians, industrialists, and business practitioners as guest speakers.
Conference
A National Conference on ‘Changing Paradigms In Management Practices’ was organized by Apeejay School of Management on 15th May’2008. Prof. Abad Ahmad, Former Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Delhi graced the occasion as the chief guest. More than 75 academicians including professors from IIM, MDI, DU, BHU etc. contributed their research papers in the Conference.

National Conference on Changing Paradigms in Management Practices
Management Development Program (MDP)
- Apeejay School of Management organized a MDP on ‘Brand Samurai’ at the Indian Habitat Center on 7th March’2008. Mr. Kishore Chakraborti, Vice President, Consumer Insight, McCann Erickson, Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal, Vice President, Marketing, Minda Corporation were some of the renowned speakers for the event. Around 40 participants from academia and industry attended the MDP.

MDP: Brand Samurai
- Another MDP on ‘Relationship Management in Retail Sector’ was organized by Apeejay School of Management’ on 10th May’2008. Speakers included professors from IIM, company CEOs and heads. The MDP had the participation from both corporate and academia.

Management TRAINING Program (MTP)
A MTP on ‘Wealth Advisory Excellence’ was organized by Apeejay School of Management’ on 6th May’2008. Some real wealth conscious corporate people attended the MTP.

Faculty Development Program (FDP)
Apeejay School of Management organized a FDP on ‘Research Methods and Statistical Analysis’ on 2nd May’2008. Around 30 participants from all over India attended the Program. Dr.B.S.Nagi, former Director of Center for Research and Social Development, Dr. C.P.Gupta, Chairman, National Management Program, MDI,Gurgaon and Dr. Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School of Management were some of the renowned speakers.

Workshop
A Workshop on ‘Data Analysis using SPSS’ was organized by Apeejay School of Management on 3rd May’2008. Around 30 participants from all over India attended the workshop.
Seminar
Seminar on ‘IT Security Paradigms’ was organized by Apeejay School of Management’ on 8th February’2008. Mr. Veerendra Jaitley, President, Software Technology Group International Ltd., Mr. Anup Girdhar, CEO, Sedulity Groups Solutions & Technologies and Dr. Sushila Madan, Director, Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies were some of the expertise in the field to share their ideas. Around 120 students and faculty from various institutes participated in the seminar.

Corporate Training
Apeejay School of Management is also into Corporate Trainings. One such training was organized for Allahabad Bank Employees from 19th July’2007 to 27th July’2007. 351 bank employees were trained on Customer Relationship Management, Customer Satisfaction and Motivation.

Some of the faculty members of the institute have given training/seminars/panel sessions under MDP Programs on topics like Data Analyses, Mutual Fund, Financial Advisory, Wealth Management, Workplace Relationship, CRM etc at several organizations which among others include N.J. STUDENT ACTIVITIES
A Visit to Jim Corbett National Park
Students of PGDM 2006-08 batch visited the Jim Corbett National Park during 15-16 December 2007. The Corporate Resource Center of ASM organized the out-bound trip.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT
At ASM we pay special emphasis on overall personality development of the students. For the purpose, there is a special unit viz, Communication Development Cell with half a dozen faculty trained in interpersonal skills, personality development, theatre and drama, Negotiation skills, selling skills, oral and writing skills. To further this we have 5 student activity clubs in the campus viz, Marketing Club, Finance Club, HR Club , Theatre and Film Club.
PROJECT & TRAINING
PGDM
A built-in programme of industrial interaction based on project work is provided in the curriculum. Each student is exposed for a period of 8-10 weeks to corporate environment after completing one year of his or her PGDM programme. Each student submits a project report on a chosen subject conducted under the joint supervision of the faculty and corporate manager(s). The results of these reports are shared by the entire batch through the process of class presentations. Also, a detailed research project forms an integral part of the programme wherein the students are expected to carry out original research under the guidance of the members of the faculty.
