Studios
& Audio Visual Room
There are 31 fully equipped studios having enough working space
for the students. Besides drawing studios, there are separate
studios for Graphic Design, Textile Design, Interior Design,
and Fashion Design.
An Audio-Visual Room equipped with a Slide Projector, Overhead
Projector, T.V. / V.C.R. and a seating capacity for 100 students
is available.
Open Air Theatre
The Institute has an Open Air Theatre with a seating capacity
of approx. 300 students.
Computers
Since computers are an integral part of Design Education, the
Institute offers a well structured design oriented course in
computers, in all the specialisations. The Institute has three
fully Air-conditioned Computer Labs with the latest state-of-the-art
computers - one to cater to only the foundation students and
the others for the specialization students. The Labs have an
array of software such as Adobe Page Maker, Adobe Illustrator,
Photoshop, AutoCAD interalia.
Student Activities
The Institute organises activities and student competitions
throughout the year. Inter College Students Competitions are
also organized.
Exhibitions,
Shows & Design Festival
Exhibitions, Displays and Seminars are held throughout the year
in a well equipped display Gallery with Track Lights, Display
Board & a Sound System. Competitions, Film Shows, Slide
Shows, and Design Festival "IRIS" is held every alternate
year.
Labs and Workshops
The Institute is proud of the facilities it offers in its workshops
where students work on mechanical and electrical machines, and
hand operated looms. The Institute feels honoured to inform
that all products designed are essentially fabricated at the
Institute.

Library
The Institute has a well stocked library where student can refer
to books & journals to develop their interest & skills
in the field.
Club Activities
The Institute has Cultural, Sports, Photography and Literary
Clubs which organize activities and student Competitions throughout
the year.
The Cultural Club, besides organising functions like the Orientation
Programme, Farewell Party, Freshers' Party and so on, organises
Student Competitions in Rangoli, Dance, Skit, Kite Making and
Singing.
The Sports Club conducts activities in indoor games like Table
Tennis and Carrom and organises sports competitions and fun
games.
Photography being an important aspect in the curriculum, many
competitions are organised at amateur and skill level in outdoor
and indoor photography.
The literary Club presents a platform for students to speak
and debate on various current issues relevant to the student
community and society at large. This year the Club is to launch
the News Magazine of the Institute also.
Developing Academic
Standards
The Institute has made it a practice to organise INDUSTRY INSTITUTION
INTERACTION throughout the year with a view to further enrich
its curriculum, provide an opportunity for the students to interact
with Professionals and visit various commercial establishments
to collect first hand information. This is done through Field
Visits, Guest lectures and Workshops.
The normal schedule of the Institute is to organise any one
such activity on each Friday. Some Guest Speakers who had addressed
the students in the last session are Mr. Suneet Paul, Editor
A+D, Dr. Deepti Gupta, a Professor from IIT, Mr. Manojit lahiri,
Copy Writer and Sub-Editor of Dash Magazine.
Field Visits conducted to various commercial establishments
in the Industry pertaining to each specialization like for Printing
and Packaging such as International Print-O-Pack, Thomson Press,
live construction sites and complexes at Gurgaon and Greater
NOIDA, Hosiery Mill, Embroidery Units and Fabrication Centres
at Agra, Gurgaon and Panipat. Similarly Workshops are conducted
by Professionals from the Industry with a view to further improve
the skills of the students besides giving the exposure to Professional
work. Workshops were conducted on "Portrait and Fashion
Photography", "Table Top Photography", "Outdoor
Photography", "Ideas in Fiber and Textile and "Fabrication
of Coffee Tables".
Canteen &
Stationery Shop
The Institute has a well equipped stationary shop and a hygienic
canteen.
